Bikepacking Roots -- Supporting and advancing bikepacking

Our bikepacking routes

Bikepacking Roots' professional routes are intentionally designed for unique and powerful riding experiences, and we monitor and adjust routes over time as conditions on the ground evolve. We also offer extensive navigational, logistical, and educational route guides and resources so that riders can confidently embark on their own bikepacking adventures. We also rate all our routes using the BPR Route Rating Scale to clearly articulate physical, technical, and overall bikepacking challenge.  We don't currently accept user-created route submissions in an effort to maintain the highest of route quality and long-term upkeep standards, but many dozens of volunteers assist with our route development projects in various capacities.

If you have ridden one of our routes and have feedback or found areas where route updates may be necessary, we'd love to hear from you. Please send any comments to routes@bikepackingroots.org. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to answer detailed route-specific questions or assist with trip planning.

Bikepacking Roots is the only non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and advancing bikepacking, growing a diverse bikepacking community, advocating for the conservation of the landscapes and public lands through which we ride, and creating professional routes. We value human-powered experiences and an inclusive, engaged, and informed membership (6,000 strong) that makes a positive impact as we adventure by bike.
