Updates for the Intermountain Connectors (as of July 20, 2022):
IC5 - Trans Rockies Connector
IC7 - Mogollon Connector
IC5 - Trans Rockies Connector
- As of May 10, 2022 there is no longer a general store in Crested Butte South and there is only one restaurant and a coffee shop in town. Riders should plan on getting their resupply in main Crested Butte (Clark's Market).
- The Bedrock Store in Paradox Valley has also closed and is under new ownership. Riders should plan on resupplying in the nearby towns of Nucla (on route) or Naturita (just off route)
- The bike shop in Delta, Colorado has moved to Grand Junction (well off route). Riders can still easily visit bike shops just to the east on route in Paonia.
- Where the route crosses Mill Creek on the west side of the La Sal Mountains above/east of Moab, the creek can be difficult to access. The dirt road that heads up stream toward Oowah Lake offers several easier access points to Mill Creek 1/2 to 1 mile up stream in the vicinity of the Sherman Gulch Trailhead and where Oowah Lake Road crosses Mill Creek.
IC7 - Mogollon Connector
- Wildfires have closed National Forests and shut down large sections of the GDMBR in New Mexico. Riders can find more information on the Adventure Cycling Association's website.
- Near Show Low and Pine Top-Lakeside, Arizona, a 1-mile section of dirt road along the edge of the San Carlos Apache Reservation has been close to public access. Please follow this short detour on adjacent Forest Service trails. This detour has been made permanent in v1.2 of the Mogollon Connector GPS data (updated 14 May 2022). The detour doesn't add any mileage to the route.
